Tandoori Tikka Masala
Eating rich butter chicken with soft rumali rotis at dhabas in Punjab is a fond memory that has lingered on years later. Cooking tikkas for butter chicken or chiken tikka masala at home has always been for me about getting the flavors right and like I knew they should taste. Tandoori Tikka masala packs a punch when it comes to spices. This earthy blend is bittersweet and aromatic with peppery notes and a warm-tangy flavor. Use it to make butter chicken, tikka masalas or to even to season salmon, lamb, and tofu.
Why does my masala have yellowish-orangy coloring rather than bright red? That bright red comes from artificial food colors and I don't use artificial colors in any of my blends, including this one. The beautiful hue in this masala comes naturally from Kashmiri chilies, red chilies and turmeric.
This pouch contains enough masalas to make about 32 servings of Tikka Masala.
